Rules and risks

Every game has its full rules, with examples, in How it works · here is what to know before you put money in

You can lose what you put in

  • Only put in money you are fine losing
  • Before you pay, each game shows the most you can lose
  • Prices can move fast, and a lead can change in the last minutes

Who decides the result

  • Races: the contract reads every price itself from public Base pools, 5-minute averages at fixed times · nobody, us included, can pick a price
  • Up or Down and Closest guess: ETH's price is the middle of Coinbase, Kraken and Bitstamp, posted by our keeper with the time it was taken · anyone can check each price against those exchanges, and the contract refuses a price that jumps too far
  • If prices can't be read in time, the round is called off and everyone gets their money back

Your money

  • You pay from your own wallet and payouts go straight back to it · we never hold your money
  • The contracts have no owner, no pause and no upgrade · nobody can move players' money
  • If a payout can't be sent, it stays in the contract for you to take any time
  • Smart contracts can have bugs · keep amounts to what you are fine losing

Fees and network costs

  • 10% of what a winner wins, never of the money put in
  • Nothing on money that comes back: unmatched amounts, cancelled or dead-even rounds
  • Opening a private race costs $0.25
  • Your wallet pays Base network fees, usually a fraction of a cent

Tokenized stocks

  • Stocks race as tokenized versions on Base
  • Their issuer can pause them, and can block any address, a game's contract included
  • Stock races run only during US market hours

Who can play

  • Adults only
  • Not available to US persons
  • Not available where games like these are not allowed
